Gold Finger Opening Title

At the start we have the James Bond logo as such which is James Bond shooting, this is the stat of most James Bond films and gives an idea to what the film is going to include which is guns and death and action. This opening tells the audience that its a James Bond film and gives an idea to what it will include.

The opening of Gold Finger starts with the song 'goldfinger' as a golden hand rises up the screen. The gold connotes wealth and high quality which creates a preconception that the film is going to be off high quality. We then see out first title 'ALBERT R.BROCCOLI HARRY SALTZMAN PRESENT' the font is quite clear as it stands out with the black and gold  and is all in capitals which makes it look important. We then see a face on the golden hand, this tells us that this person will appear in the film and will have something to do with gold. We then see a golden women's face with Sean Connery's face on her. This connotes that James Bond a.k.a Sean Connery will have something to do with women and romance in the film which is stereotypical of every James Bond film.

The voice of the non-diegetic song starts with 'Gold finger' which is the name of the film which again tells us that there will be occurrences of gold throughout the film. We then see more women in gold connoting that there may be an occurrence of a golden women in the film. On these women we can see clips of the film, we can see James Bond with a women again connoting romance that will occur in the film. On one of the golden women we see men in a car looking rather angry, this could be the antagonist of the film and against James Bond.

We then see a car on one of the Golden Women. Cars are stereotypically associated with James Bond and this shows that they will occur in this film as well. We then see the first occurrence of guns which again is commonly associated with James Bond on the girls face, this could give the audience a preconception that the gun is associated with killing or protecting the golden girl.

There are then explosions on the Golden Girl connoting that explosions may occur in the film. We then see the same man we saw at the start of the opening at the end, this could be Mr Gold Finger  who is making these girls golden. What we get from this opening is that the whole film is based around a golden girl, Every clip from the film is on the Golden Girl and she is always on the screen in the film giving us an idea to what the film is about.
